Dr Fraser-Kirk is thoroughly educated and experienced in medicine, surgical anatomy, plastic and reconstructive surgery, orthoplastics, microsurgery and science, completing his studies and extensive training in Australia and the United Kingdom.
Refining his knowledge throughout his professional experience, Dr Fraser-Kirk is an expert in DIEP (Deep Inferior Perforator) and other free flap reconstruction of the breast, comprehensively trained in adult and paediatric reconstructive surgery, and has performed over 300 breast reconstructions at one of the world’s leading breast units.

Dr Grant Fraser-Kirk is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and a qualified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, with an interest in skin and breast reconstruction.
Educated at the University of Queensland, Dr Fraser-Kirk completed Bachelor Degrees in Biomedical Science, Medicine and Surgery before being selected for advanced training in General Surgery. Following four years’ specialist training in General Surgery, Dr Fraser-Kirk was admitted to the Australian and New Zealand Plastic Surgery Training Program, within which he completed a further five years of training to qualify as a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon.
In 2017 and 2018, Dr Fraser-Kirk was selected to undertake the Guys and St Thomas Trust Microvascular Reconstruction Fellowship in London. During this time, he performed over 300 breast reconstructions at one of the world’s leading breast units. He is an expert in DIEP (Deep Inferior Perforator) and other free flap reconstruction of the breast.
Dr Fraser-Kirk has a long history of workforce representation and advocating for improved standards of surgical training, mentorship and education. He served on the executive of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons Trainees Association from 2008 to 2017. He was elected RACSTA Chair in 2015 and 2016, and was awarded the prestigious John Corby Medal for his contribution to surgery in Australia in 2016.
Dr Fraser-Kirk is comprehensively trained in adult and paediatric reconstructive surgery, including but not limited to reconstruction of the skin, breast, head and neck and hand, as well as in cosmetic plastic surgery.
